A Doggie Tail

She has a permant curl in her tail. We feed her in the crate and her tail is always up and thru the top of the crate. She isn't scared of anything which is a good thing because with that curl I don't think she could tuck her tail even if she wanted to. She loves the tummy rubs and attention but doesn't come too often for loving. She is content to wait for us to come to her. She also still hasn't adapted to taking treats from hand, we have to drop them before she will take anything. She loves her food and gets really bouncy at mealtime. She also gets excited when getting out of her crate. She was sleeping thru the night in her crate for about 2 1/2 weeks then decided that she wanted to sleep in our room with the other dogs and she is doing fine with that. She walks great on the leash. We only have three steps which she prefers to do in one leap on the way up. She doesn't seem to have a strong prey drive, she'll run if she sees another creature in the yard but doesn't dwell on it once it is gone.
She is the only dog that gets crated and seems to be a little possessive of her space when she is in the crate and also possessive of stuffies when she is playing with them. She has a big blue stuffed dog that she loves and actually hugs. She is also learning how to play with the other dogs. No accidents in the house and even will walk to the door and scratch at it to go out. She also has learned how to roach now that she is using the doggie beds. She's a very easy dog and will make a wonderful pet for her forever family.

All Better Now

Chicago is all better. She has learned the dog bed finally, she looked so cramped on the pillow.
She's eating like a champ, which is a good thing because she is really skinny. She's very tall for a girl and as thin as she is she is very lanky. She hasn't really run yet and doesn't seem to want to be outside for long. She was sleeping thru the night until last night when she got me up at 3 am. I thought she wanted to go out but she didnt go into the yard, I think she was lonely and just wanted to play.

Better Today

She is feeling better. No more vomiting, she eating a little bit and she is getting up and following me around. She still won't take a treat from my hand and has yet to lay on one of the beds. I'm letting her take her time getting used to stuff. She has cute ears, and has a permanent curl in her tail. She picked up a stuffie and held it for about 2 seconds and then put it down. She rode well in the car yesterday, laid down right away, the only problem is that she is a BIG girl and I had to lift her up to get her in. It was not easy, I did one half of a dog at a time. Hopefully she will feeling 100% soon.

Poor Girl

I picked up Chicago on Tuesday morning. One of the first things she did was vomit. Understandable, she got cut open the day before. She was also moving slowly. She didn't eat alot for dinner that night. A little slow eating on Wed. also. Wed. night vomited again and 4 times this morning so off the vet. She had a slight fever so I left her there for the day. She is back at home and has eaten 1/4 of a can of special food and licked a couple spoonfuls of yogurt. Even tho she isn't really eating she seems to be a little food aggressive with Maggie, no problem with me, I actually was spoon feeding her, she better not get used to that :D
I was told she was the kennel pet. I really have no idea what her personality is or is going to be like because she is not feeling well. She loves the belly rubs tho. When she is laying down and you go anywhere near her the back leg goes up. She goes to the back door when she needs to go out and had one accident at the back door which was my fault because I forgot to let her go before I brought her into the house after the vet and she was standing at the door but I wasnt paying enough attention. Hopefully after she gets a little more food in her and the meds kick in she will perk up and I will have a better report next time.
